Happy Friday morning, Charleston! After 2 weeks spent in Prague, Český-Krumlov and Vienna—with a day-trip to Dresden for good measure—we flew back for 10 hours on Wednesday. We averaged 16,000 steps per day, and barely scratched the surface of these dynamic cities.

Prague and Vienna are grand, walkable cities filled with tons of fun, engaging things to do. They’re positively magical during the Christmas season.

And cold! Winter coats, hats and scarves were items we were happy to stow when we got back to Charleston.

Here’s a reminder that our inaugural CHS Happenings Dinner Club is Wednesday, January 28 at 7:00 PM. I’ll be publishing the community and sign-up page and will provide the link in next Friday’s issue. Don’t miss it!

The Logistics: The booking fee is $16 per seat, you pay for your own meal at the end of dinner, and I'll put it all together from the quiz, to matching, to the reservations, and sending reminders. All you gotta do is show up, meet some new friends, and have some fun.

The Original Psychic Stand-Up Karen Rontowski at the Queen St. Playhouse | 8 - 9:30 PM | Queen Street Playhouse, Downtown | Featuring 30 minutes of fast-paced, quirky stand-up comedy followed by 30 minutes of live, humorous tarot readings from audience volunteers. Readings stay positive and encouraging.

West Ashley Cars and Coffee | 8 - 10 AM | Northbridge Shopping Center, 1690 Olde Town Road | Come out the last Sunday of every month, from 8-10am, to see some of the coolest cars , trucks, and motorcycles in the local Charleston area!

Sunday Brunch Farmers Market | 1 PM I Pour House, James Island | The Sunday Brunch Farmers Market is an all-local market, featuring more than 40 vendors that include local farmers, makers and artisans.

Charleston Community Jazz Jam | 5 - 6:30 PM | Charleston Jazz Academy, North Charleston | The Charleston Jazz Jam Session is a free monthly session open to musicians of all ages.
